Volume 1 Issue 4 - The Last Supper by Taylor Gurley

“The Last Supper” by Taylor Gurley is an artistic depiction of a Last Supper that is inclusive of “all” people. The Positive Black Images message has always been, “You Have To See It, To Be It”. This lithograph print symbolically includes multiple nationalities, ethnic groups, races, and more. The U-shaped table offers a contrast to the normally depicted elongated table. Jesus is portrayed via a black silhouette as he is a Lord for “all” people.

The bottom of the painting shows Judas as he attempts to return the 30 pieces of silver to the high priests (see Matthew 27: 3-5). A cloud of smoke hovers over those that betrayed Christ.
